The Western Australian Diabetes Strategy (WADS) which was launched in 1999 continues to be the cornerstone for planning diabetes services by the Department of Health. The strategy has supported a comprehensive, integrated and structured approach to the planning and delivery of diabetes prevention and management. The Western Australia Diabetes Strategy document can be viewed on this web-site.

The Western Australian Diabetes Strategy web-site is directed at both consumers and health professionals who want ready access to a range of diabetes-related information and resources in WA. It covers practical information such as contact details for diabetes services around the state and training and professional development opportunities. It also offers links to other relevant web-sites that can provide additional information on the prevention and management of diabetes.

The web-site will be regularly updated and your feedback would be appreciated. Please contact us on: diabetes@health.wa.gov.au
